Who is Jill Martin?
I started playing golf at 11 years old and won my first tournament at age 12 with my Dad in a Father-Daughter’s Tournament. I played golf in High School and College in North Carolina.
I graduated from East Carolina University 1978 with degree in Physical Therapy. I specialize in Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Injuries.
I am currently a 7-8 handicap.
How I got involved with the Titleist Performance Institute?
I had a fall in September of 2007 and started to have a great deal of neck and low back pain. I underwent several Medical Procedures, Chiropractic, Massage and Physical Therapy. I continued to have a lot of pain after playing and went to a local golf pro about changing my swing. He told me about the TPI program and I decided to get Certified with the Titleist Performance Institute in California as a Golf Fitness and Medical Professional. My physical assessment was very revealing about how inflexible and weak I had become and my swing analysis revealed how inefficient my swing was. I had developed many swing faults due to poor mechanics. The TPI program has helped me tremendously by increasing my core strength and flexibility. I am hitting the ball farther and more consistently now with better endurance and less pain. I have also lost weight! This program not only helps with your golf game, but also improves your overall fitness, wellness and mental outlook.

How does the JILL MARTIN GOLF FITNESS & PHYSICAL THERAPY PROGRAM WORK?
I perform a physical movement screening which identifies the players’ limitations in the areas of Mobility, Stability, Balance, Posture and Power.
I am movement expert and I help the golfer by getting his/her body in the proper golf position through a motor learning/fitness program.
This helps the Golf Professional with his swing analysis and instruction and makes the golfer's lessons more productive and efficient. You don't waste time getting into the proper positon because you have already learned the proper body swing connection. This allows you to work on your scoring game-like putting, chipping, pitching.
Based on the Physical Screen, I identify swing faults and power leaks the golfer has. I then develop a customized exercise routine for the golfer. I do online web-based coaching which saves TIME & MONEY!
If I find thru my screening there is an injured or painful area, I implement a specialized physical therapy movement assessment and rehabilitation program with a physician’s prescription.
Improved golf performance in distance and accuracy.
Improved Life performance with improved posture, balance, flexibility, strength and endurance.
Prevent Injury/ Rehabilitate Injury
Develop good pre round warm-up routine and post play recovery program.
